Programme promo · With Waleed El Faraj

Rotana Sports

Seven stations. One continuous journey.

Directed by Essam Nassar · Produced by AROMA × AO3 Studios

Not how far he’s come — where he’s going next

The big idea

Waleed El Faraj isn’t defined by any single station — he’s defined by the journey that connects them all. Each world he passed through built a part of who he is, which is exactly why he never stops to reminisce and keeps walking. The seven stations are the past; the glowing door at the end is the future. The film reframes a career retrospective as forward momentum: the reveal of the new programme becomes the natural destination the whole journey was leading to.

Every stage, a fully built world

The approach

Each career stage is an independent, fully designed world — its own colour, its own custom set, and the station number woven physically into the scene instead of stamped on as a graphic. Waleed inhabits and interacts with each space, and his own movement is what carries us forward, so every transition feels motivated by the character, not imposed by the edit. As he completes one phase, that world collapses and reassembles into the next.

1

The Word

A room built entirely of newspapers — a towering “1” stacked from decades of print. Where the journey began.

والبداية كانت كلمة
2

The Voice

The pages fold into a television screen. Old sets, colour bars and satellites — the word finds a voice.

ثم... صار للكلمة صوت
3

The Story Grows

A live sports studio wrapped in data, scores and holographic rings — the story getting bigger with every step.

كانت الحكاية تكبر
4

The Passion

The stadium tunnel. Cranes, floodlights and a roaring crowd — a “4” painted into the pitch itself.

الملاعب تغيّرت... لكن الشغف بقي كما هو
5

The Debate

The ACTION analysis studio — heatmaps, stats and tactics. With every discussion, the responsibility grew.

ومع كل نقاش... كانت المسؤولية أكبر
6

The Responsibility

A pure-white VAR chamber — a “6” drawn in light and tactics. Because an opinion is a responsibility.

لأن الرأي... مسؤولية
7

The Stage

The grand LIVE 7 studio — a monumental “7” holding a crowd of screens. Seven stations made the journey.

سبع محطات... صنعت الرحلة
The door

Every colour, number and previous world dissolves into a single beam of light. Waleed walks through the glowing door — toward the one new beginning his entire history was quietly converging on.

حان الوقت... لفصلٍ جديد

Still in motion — not a legacy being memorialized.

No cuts. One continuous journey.

Director style

The editing philosophy rests on a single rule: no traditional cuts. The entire promo unfolds as one unbroken cinematic flow where each world morphs seamlessly into the next through in-camera logic and match-driven transitions.

Movement does the cutting

A newspaper folds into a television screen; a football rolls past the lens and delivers us to the next set; an LED panel opens like a gateway. Movement, objects and light do the cutting — never the timeline.

Numbers live in the scene

Numbers assemble from flying pages, screens and stadium markings, then dissolve the moment Waleed advances — built into the world, never stamped on as graphics.

Craft meets CGI

Seamless morphing demands meticulous pre-visualization and tight choreography between camera, talent and set design — practical staging blended with CGI and compositing.
